In our Super Huge Tesco store, there are two enormously long aisles of alcohol. Wines, spirits, beer, lager, attractively displayed with helpful cards explaining origins and describing the taste of all the wines. Special offers shout at you and huge pyramids of cans delight the eye. In view of the enormous cost to health and the Peace of the Realm, shouldn't all this booze be behind a screen of some sort? With a little door on which one furtively taps? ("Psssst! One bottle of Beaujolais please.")
