Lately I've been to the dermatologist and had to have pre-cancerous lesions frozen. This leads to a small, red patch of skin. I also had to have a small cancerous node cut out. This left an inch-long cut with stitches.

The news is that for both kinds of treatment, the dermies advised that I keep the injuries coated with Vaseline. Doing that promotes healing, apparently by keeping it moist.
