I was going to file for an extension, then let Tom deal with the taxes when he got home, but found a flyer at the community health center last week about free prep and efile (if income is less than $58,000 -- boy, do we qualify!) by the nice folks at MY credit union, called to make sure it wasn't too late, and will be able to accomplish it in about the same amount of time and bother that filing an extension would take. AND we'll get the (needed) refund sooner.

Spaw, the dreams sound very similar to what Tom's been describing -- the being moved around and long hallways. It's got to be the meds...

There have been lots of offers of help, but most of what needs to be done are things I have to do. (Sort of like you can't ask someone else to pee for you while they're up...)

And friends are taking care of the major thing that could trip Tom up (literally) when he gets home -- our antique deteriorating particle board subflooring.

I can wish that a lovely replacement part-time job will just fall into my lap, but I think all I can really do is send off resumes and make phone calls when I can (and try not to feel guilty about not having enough time...).

At least I didn't get any phone calls overnight...
