Right, Charlie -- it's not any more real effort to actually get the taxes filed (a free service at my credit union) and get the refund, than it is to file an extension. We don't have much income; our taxes are very simple. It's just that I've not efiled before (another thing Tom always took care of) and this is a lot less aggro. So getting that taken care of this morning will actually be eliminating some stress.

You have no idea how much I hope I can sort of take tomorrow "off" -- and only have to spend some time with Tom, not checking other stuff off lists. I HAVE to work on Friday (10-3) and I'll put in an appearance at The Press Room session in order to give everybody news (and, I hope, collect a few hugs -- I need them), but I'll probably leave early to visit with Tom and then go home and collapse.
