Ayuh...8 o'clock tonight will be four weeks. Arghhh!!!

Accomplished day, starting early. Partial repair of our floor (in anticipation of Tom coming home) before we ran out of time. I had to head out to our credit union to get our taxes efiled. That's done -- one more thing checked off the list. Then went to Clipper Harbor to grab Tom's clothes and tackle. Another check mark.

Treated myself to some calamari for lunch on the way to the hospital, then realized when I continued the drive exactly how exhausted I am. My brain is totally fried.

So I stayed with Tom for a couple hours. He's looking good, had some more blood dripped into him, and he said he really would like to be home -- probably won't need too much more PT after he recovers from this (or so he thinks, for what that's worth). He's also itchy to do some cooking. (But, keep in mind, he hasn't had any food since yesterday...)

I left right after they wheeled him out at 4 p.m. for the gastro look-see procedure. His nurse said calling him at 7 tonight would probably be better than 6.

I need to pop a couple aspirin for an annoying but mild headache, and go upstairs and veg out.

I sincerely hope that the only thing I really need to do tomorrow is go spend some time with Tom...
