Just talked to Tom's nurse...and to Tom. He's in for a night of, uh, "housecleaning"...they're doing a colonoscopy in the morning.
Evidently they didn't find anything bleeding higher up. I asked Tom if he'd been sedated through the procedure. He said no, just probably Valium or some other calmer. Then he said it only took 3 minutes...so I think he was VERY calm. They told me the procedure would take about an hour...
I've had trouble staying awake until now (not quite 7:30 p.m.), so I'm going to shut down the house, crawl into my jammies and hit the hay very early.
