In the murky backwaters of Mudcat history there was a famous incident of a kestrel being set alight. As I recall it was aboard the ALbert B. Hansell. Anyway the witch-woman was greatly embarassed at the sight of her kestrel going up in flames, and ended up marrying the Gambler in her confusion.
