Well, Rusty and a couple other fellas left just before noon. They each had a couple of remounts and a pack mule, so they might be out a while. Here's a picture of a baby one that got into a town around here a couple years ago. They're useful critters so they ain't hunted or nothin', because they keep the jackrabbits and dire wolves in check. Folks just like to keep an eye on 'em because they sometimes lead you to some placer gold.
