That's the sort of thing. Made of six rows of hairpin crochet sort of folded over down the arms, as if it were a rectangle with a triangle folded over for each sleeve. I can't post a piccie as someone bought the the turquoise one in Oxfam - don't know why I didn't take a photo on my phone as well as sketching it out on my PDA. The rows are to be joined with chains of crochet, and the whole edged with a wide band of double crochet. (I think that is single crochet across the pond. The stictch I'm thinking of is made by pulling througn the stitch below and then pulling through the two loops on the hook again before doing the next stitch.)
