It's a good thing that Rap is maintaining such an archive, Amos, but is a paper record really enough? Paper wears out and oxidizes as the centuries tick by. It can be destroyed in a flood or a fire. I think that the only sure way of preserving these vital records is to have them engraved upon stone tablets. With modern equipment this isn't as difficult as it sounds, but it is very costly. How shall we raise the funds required to commit the entire MOABST to a testament carved in stone? And where should the tablets be kept for safekeeping, in case of nuclear war and other catastrophic events such as a major pole shift, earthquake, asteroid impact, inundation, etc? Future generations will one day need these sacred records to guide them in living productive and meaningful lives. It would be a tragedy beyond estimation were the accumulated knowledge herein contained lost to the people of the next Age...or the one that follows it.
