I first heard The Womenfolk on the TV program "Hootenanny" back in the summer of 1966 (I think). The date is foggy, but their performance glued me to my chair. The song they sang was "The Last Thing On My Mind". From the beginning chords I was mesmerized. I didn't know people could sing like that. I remember how they sat, the words they sang, even what they wore. They helped a little girl realize there was beauty in the human voice and I've been singing ever since. Ladies - I bow to you!
