As no one has mentioned it ,I will, the real King of laxatives is a chemical called phenolphthalein ( a component in some laxatives)..It is so effective it will take the lining out of your stomach and is used as an indicatorfor alkalis in labs, If you inadvertently lick your fingers after handling the bottle you can wind up spending Hours "communing with the porcelain". The dosage is about 30 mgs,, that is 30/1000ths of a gram (depending on body weight, NB this is total not per Kg of body weight)
