But Shane simple reacts to things the way Shane would. He regards Amos and Rapparee the way most people would regard pestilential vermin of the most undesirable and intolerable sort. He is naturally hoping that the Galactic Overlord will follow through on his threat and "remove" them.

Rapparee has persisted in calling Shane "Shame"...and lately Amos has begun doing so as well. Can you see why this would irritate the boy from Blind River? It's as simple as 1, 2, 3. If Shane had a button he could push that would cause both Rapparee and Amos to vanish in a sudden puff of smoke and fire, he WOULD push it.

As it stands, he's hoping the Galactic Overlord will do it for him.
