The grapes are juiced - it is about 7 quarts out of those buckets. Now that I have the grapes out of the way I can take my pickles out of the fridge and do them. The fridge will then have room for the tomato tub and the jars of grape juice. I'll have to pick up some pectin for jelly later in the week. I told my son I'd make him a fresh batch for his apartment this year. He'd also like some strawberry jelly, but I don't need to make those right now.
I dumped all of the seeds and skins from the grapes in the compost and then policed the grounds to pick up dog droppings to dump on top. I had used some of it this morning to make dog dropping tea that I poured on the ground near yesterday's landscaping to keep Zeke from digging that soft dirt and sending it everywhere. So far it is working. Good thing I have a regular supply of that tea making material to keep them out of there! (When you pour liquid without the solids the dog can smell it very well but it doesn't smell up the lawn or dirt for mere human noses.)
