I think that my son was only echoing what he and his friends thought.

It may well be that the duo are better than averagely talented and at that time were put in front of a non appreciative audience by that root of all evil - money.

I have to confess that their only chart success leaves me cold.

It could be that they, like a lot of other acts, have been sucked into trying to perform in two (or more) different genres and only half succeeded at each.

I have for many years thought it sad that there is not a stage for people such as them where they can entertain a sizable portion of the populace who do not want to listen to the pap/pop churned out by the big boys.

I would also respectfully suggest that the traditional folk world is not that stage.
