Heavy rain has been forecast until September. The Opening Ceremony is going to display English countryside as a fantasy of green rolling hills, quaint villages with maypoles (sans morris dancers), Glastonbury washed out, farmyards with ducks, and then dark satanic mills. But then they were also going to add artificial clouds to represent the British weather. No need to do that though - there'll now be a portrayal of British weather and real wet and bedraggled countryside with real FLOODS cascading through the displays. Better get some morris dancers 'cos it never rains on the morris - does it?
