I tried beer last year. No takers. It had taken me some time to find some beer that was not premium stuff from small local breweries, like Bishop's Finger or Spitfire. The cheap stuff was so cheap I was shoced it was available. But the slugs were obviously picky.

There was a news item about the effects of this year's weather on wildlife. Birds and bats badly hit. Slugs and snails doing very well. Tell me something I don't know.

Out last night I found two slugs, and a number of snails. Salted the slugs, and one snail I couldn't get a grip on, and slung the snails over the fence into the communal privet patch, where there is a lot of rotting vegetation on the ground.

When I'm on the other computer I will post the words to a song I wrote on the subject some years ago.
