Scarborough council ( which also controls Whitby) obviously has some interest in continuing with the Festival and its a shame that the "free" aspect of the Festival has been lost in the move to Whitby, or that local pubs who are very folk friendly are not being involved.

I'm not sure how successful the one venue - concert format will be. Or how many people will be prepared to fork out £25 plus accommodation and other costs to stay in one place no matter how good the guests may be.
