As well as publicity in advance (and there isn't much advanceness left) it's important to get some reportage - since the Whitby lineup is so much better-known than the bunch of MySpace heroes Scarborough has gone for, local media will surely give them more exposure. Which means the council prats responsible for this debacle will have some explaining to do, and with any luck next year might be different.
