HAH! We were unloading the truck from the Fest on Saturday and the clanking of the metal poles for the shelter made so much noise our neighbour - 100 yards away at least! - came to make sure everything was OK. Just in time to help off load the pottery wheel! We have such a great neighbour. He had something stolen from his car while he slept in the daytime - and we are half a mile from anywhere.

The Fest was a musical and a pottery success and people enjoyed watching me throwing pots and a couple hardy souls tried it - successfully. One is a perfectionist and told me to throw it back in the bucket and she will try to come take lessons. The other I will finish and R will deliver it to his friend's tea room - which might take some pots to display. I sold enough pots that I now can consider buying more clay and have more fun.

The grand finale tribute to Woody was terrific! And the other music - which I heard without seeing - was great.

The brown sugar moisteners came out very well but not until late afternoon so I only sold a few. I gave all the stamped ones (over 60!) to the orchard folks, their logo on them, to sell at their farm markets and gift shop.

I thought I start a new cycle of throwing today but R was here until noon and then I went to the butcher as I was out of their good products. It was again too hot to breath until about 6 pm when the wind started generating wonderful negative ions and - well, it was so beautiful to listen to the storm coming and see the trees blowing that I just sat with the computer taking part of me and the storm the rest! 9:15 and still raining! Glorious! The next few days are to be "only" in the 80s. Hopefully not so humid. Tomorrow I can get started early in the pottery.

I went into the city on Weds and caught up the laundry - 5-6 loads. Went to the bank and did some groceries that are hard to get down here. Then back to the critters who are now ALL weaned!!!! No more bottles. Wobbly died on Saturday night. We think she must have had an injury to her head rather than a dread disease. Poor little tyke. We kept her as comfortable as possible but she had to be isolated and refused to let me touch her after that first night.

I brought the good printer down and plan to print out my citizenship app tomorrow and some new, revised, business cards. The revising will happen as soon as I finish here. NOW!
