Made some chocolate and beetroot brownies for a Friends lunch today, which went down very well. (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, if you are interested. A friend and I had tea in a tea-room on Saturday, and they were on the menu, but sold out. I can tell why.)

Just as I'd worked out how to make the room work with the wardrobe, I've had an answer on freecycle. The room has wallpaper based on the ceiling of Galla Placidia's mausoleum in Ravenna - sort of - Mosaic dome, so I was going to paint it blue to match, with the eight pointed stars over it, and a painted board above to cover up the stored boxes filling the space between it and the ceiling. I think I may do that with the corner wardobe I'm getting instead anyway.

My friend, with his interest in astronomy, asked why I didn't put him in that room, which also has a border of Sun and Moon along one wall, so when I've got it sorted, he can go in there. I think I might put a medieval cosmos picture on a window blind. There's a firm which prints photos onto blinds in a nearby shopping centre. I hope I can get the right width.
