McGrath, I only posed my questions because many Americans, both on this thread and in the News, have been baying for the gunman to be given the Death Penalty. I was interested to learn how they view such insane crimes. Understandably they're incensed and vengeful, but, as you so rightly point out, it's better to try to understand how this came about with a view to preventing such things in future.
