It is surely too early to predict with any certainty where there may be rain. All that may be reasonably inferred is that temperatures may be lower over the UK than of late - a good thing for the festival because it makes dancing less stressful.

Forecasting even a couple of days ahead in Cornwall and Devon is difficult - friends in Cornwall say if you want to know the weather forecast - look out of the window.

Apparently, air masses can move less predictably near land/sea boundaries. Often a downpour is predicted and we miss it completely.

Or vice-versa.

The Met Office forecasts during 'changeable' periods often update to entirely different predicted weather for Sidmouth even 2 days in advance - let alone 5 or 10 days.

It may be just a normal year - suncream, mud and wellington boots. The floods have long gone - it would be a waste of money to plan on expecting them to return. We've had the once in 15/20 year event this year. Which is of course no guarantee at all we won't get another one quite soon.
