SRS! I have practically "moved out" of the city. But we won't tell R. Actually, we are looking for something in the country because the cabin may become unavailable. And the place we looked at this week would suit me - with a small habitable house - no floors falling through. It would suit R with a huge Barn for all his collections of stuff and a small barn that could be his and her workshops and an upstairs for company - with a lot of work, but he really does enjoy hands on stuff. I think the happiest I have seen him was the day we built the cage.
As for "more property", he hopes to have the "saw mill" settled by mid-August. If all else fails, we can sort of live there -TEMPORARILY!-- and I can have a studio there and there is room for machinery to be ware-housed, a fantastic window manufacturer to ply his trade and a bunch of other initiatives - artisans, small agriculturally based endeavours.... And room for all the stuff he drags home. You'd love this latest: four volumes - about 10x12x 2-3 inches - entitled Great Men and Famous Women: A Series of Pen and Pencil Sketches of the Lives of More Than 200 Prominent Personages in History, published in 1894. Also includes text by a variety of authors.
We actually need a very large library - the big barn?
So I threw a bunch of pots this aft - used a total of 22kg of clay. I think that is my day's limit right now. If I can do the same tomorrow, I will have a kiln load for bisque. May be able to bisque fire with missing element. Maybe R will be able to get back to do the electrical before I need to glaze fire. I am almost out of the dark clay. I may finish up the white this week - 44 kg left and scrap. Hope the new stuff comes by Friday. Guess I cannot go anywhere until the delivery is made of the new clay and the wheel. So - potting and still need to mix new batches of glazes and test glazes and try out combinations thereof on dif clays.
