Was planning on going in to the Wentworth-Douglass Walk-In at Lee Circle first thing tomorrow morning, but...

First of all, the itching seemed to get worse over the course of the day. Then at supper I realized the red rash was all the way up both arms and on my face...and ITCHED.

So I checked to see if I could make it before they closed and got there about 45 minutes before closing.

After reciting the saga three times, the doc decided that I'm more than likely allergic to the antibiotic. And he thought coming in tonight rather than waiting til morning was a Very Good Idea.

So I walked out of there with orders not to take either of the previous prescriptions (disposed of the antibiotic there, while I was at it) and with a prescription for prednisone and advice to take the first dosage TONIGHT and keep taking benedryl.

Went to the pharmacy next door as I didn't know how late my regular pharmacy was open and it was getting on towards 8pm. The pharmacist said it might make me jittery and have difficulty sleeping tonight. I said, Well, the benedryl will counteract that, won't it? Affirmative. And I'm much more likely to sleep well if I'm not itching.
