The Canadian RR's got it right, they accepted the RR grade 17J watches for a very long time .. because of their accuracy and knowing the higher Jeweled made no difference. Making a RR employee buy a new watch was very expensive. They cost an average of two full weeks salary in the day ..They would accept a Hamilton 972 adj 5 positions or a Hamilton 926 for a very long time as they should. I guess the watch companies didn't want to give them the kickback's or they refused them.
