Lonesome EJ, I disagree wholeheartedly with you on marijuana never ruining anybody's life. I am the one who posted as Guest on June 28th. Marijuana may not destroy your brain but it does destroy your initiative and ambition. Too many people who could otherwise be creative, productive members of society waste their lives away on menial jobs because all they ever wanted to do as a teenager was "get stoned." In addition, this song is not just about marijuana - "Mescalito riding his white horse" is about mescaline (a psychedelic) and heroin, as I interpret it. Show me a body of evidence where recreational drug use (legal or otherwise) has actually improved people's lives over the long term and I may change my mind.
