I fear that I contributed to the confusion by somehow leaving my name under the title - it was originally intended to indicate that I was to write the note for the song, which I did! The writer of the song was George Curtin, who also wrote other songs. South-west Cork has a wonderful range of songs of this kind, hyperbolic and extremely verbal - great fun!
