The rule changes have definitely thrown a wrench into such discussion, making a judgement, subjective to begin with, near impossible. I certainly welcomed the changes whcih I believe have not only improved safety but have also improved the overall level of skill required to be effective on the field. Smashmouth football is still here and will never leave, nor SHOULD it, but I don't miss the days of yore when it had the influence it had. Double goes for hockey.
