How about a member of Gamblers Anonymous? Now explain my darling Homey - he collects anything metal and stores it in his food dish. Paperclips, screws, nails, jewelry. If he hears something drop, he runs in, grabs it and skulks away. I stopped chasing him. I know it will end up in the kibble eventually. Actually is helpful at Christmas time. I can always count on an ornament hanger or two appearing in the food dish.
