People who claim that Crowley came back and "admitted she was wrong" are not listening to what actually transpired. They are merely quoting each other.

In actuality, Candy Crowley interjected that the President had claimed in the Rose Garden, the day after the Benghazi incident, that an act of terrorism had occurred. She then went on to say (paraphrased) that it was true, as Governor Romney had charged, that for the next two weeks or so the Administration kept talking about the video having been the spark that brought about the attack but that they had all along said that they were pursuing more information.

In the post debate section she said although the President had not specifically laid the attack to terrorism, he had most definitely brought up the subject.

I like Crowley but I suspect that she should not have countered Romney's charge during the debate- it made her appear to be one of the debaters rather than the moderator.
