The "Sticks and Stones" mantra is a defensive technique for the children. It works a lot better to ignore the taunts imagine them like water flowing off a duck's back than to quack back.


I'm not blaming Amanda or her parents I certainly despise what the pervert did and what the bullies did, but I wonder if she could have been counseled to handle it better. Suicide is so final.
