Aren't we lucky that we can choose exquisite hand-made guitars from the best of makers,good enough to serve as a companion for life for an amateur or professional, for around the price of a second-hand motor-scooter?

My fave three - D18, Tele, and LP reissue (OK, not exquisite and not hand-made)- came to around £1,000 in total on the second-hand rack.
