I tried green tea ice cream when I encountered it once. Not nasty, but kind of "why bother" to me.
There was, or is, a Canadian TV show on the Candid Camera premise, running to a greater number of shorter segments. They set up an ice cream stand at an entry point for a public beach, and passed out free cones with a "new flavor". They were scooping from a big tub of margarine under the counter, and of course watching the reactions when people took a lick, usually pitching the cones in the nearest trash can.
