Pardon me if I'm just a tad suspicious of that video. She is way to young to understand what is going on. Her parents most likely coached her for this performance.

"This 24/7-365 campaigning is nothing short of a civil war..."
"We need a serious reset on our elections and our broken government"

Bobert, you never wrote truer words. This election has not yet been settled, and I'd bet my house that both sides already have contingent strategies in place for the next election. And all media are aiding and abetting, if not outright encouraging them to implement theses strategies immediately.

The first and foremost way to reset elections and government is to somehow discourage professional legislators. But all politics is local and most often we keep returning the same folks to Washington, while we despise Congress as a body. California term-limits state office holders, and legislators, but would the Constitution permit that for national legislators? Why not if the Executive is term-limited? I heard it said that the Founders did not envision a permanent political class, but early on it turned out that way. It has just gotten worse. I wonder if anyone has ever ranked the amount of time individuals have stayed in elected government at all levels from local to state to federal offices.
