We put up Christmas stuff on the weekend after 2nd December, whatever day of the week that is on. Our younger son's birthday is 2nd Dec, so when he was a little sprog we always celebrated his birthday before getting out Christmas stuff. Even though he left home years ago, we have kept the same habit.
