Yup. Don't buy a vehicle that can't be opened without a key and write a shitload of letters to newspapers about such a serious screwing over of consumers.

That doesn't solve your immediate problem but it might prevent same and similar in future although if you raise enough of a stink or threaten to do so, the dealership might "let you off" this one time.
