I very recently had Jacqui as a guest at Richmond Swaledale Folk Club(she was excellent and so humorous)and yes she did speak of being an very early member of the Spinners. However she also did tell me that she was not allowed to play the guitar - mandolin yes - because it was not considered to be 'acceptable' at that time for females to be playing guitar in public!!! Unbelieveable but true!
