Some years ago we had a dog from the animal shelter in York (UK). She was a very elegant spotty dog but not dalmation, it was difficult to tell what cross she was. When we attened dog shows with our Skyr Terriers we got quite a few comments about her, 'what sort of mutt is that','what sort of breed is that supposed to be', from the PURE BREED SNOBS. We loved her and she was as good as any pedigree dog, so we inveted a BREED for her. She became an Eboracum (Roman name for York) Acne Hund. We then got comments, 'Oh is that a new import from Germany, hope you do well with it'! Saddly she died last year at the age of thirteen. A rose by any other name! Mrs C.
