I wanna get back to the original topic of this thread - the supposed death of Rudolf.

It never ceases to amaze me that sometimes we love the logical and analytical. We watch I-don't-know-how-many versions of CSI. We read mysteries. There's even a play about Sherlock Holmes on in my town.

Yet let some malicious tabloid (The Daily Mail, Little Hawk!) start a rumor, and we believe every word. But let's consider the canon.

"When what to my wondering eyes should appear
but a miniature sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer."

Does that thing in the photos look like a TINY reindeer? No way! It's an obvious fake.

And then:

Rudolf, the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it, you would even say, "It glows!"

Does that phantasm in the photo have a nose that glows? No, it does not. Its nose is some kind of polyplastic with a matte finish.

If we're going to adulate puzzlesolvers, let's do it all the time.
