Good luck. Skipton town can be a bit wild and woolly on a Saturday night (as we found when we moored our boat there once), but out beyond Snaygill you should be peaceful enough. Drive by shootings can be rare in the countryside, we haven't had one for weeks here, so you'll have to make your own entertainment, but do watch out for the weather in winter (thats September to August up there).
