Maeve, the calligraphic version of 'Letter to a Friend' adds yet more beauty to already beautiful words. I rarely look back as far as the 16th century for comfort & inspiration. Clearly, I need to adjust my thinking!
       Thank you all for being with us; for sending your Love; for your prayers; your meditations; your positive thoughts. Jane had what could be termed an unplanned scan yesterday, with a promise from her Consultant that he would make the results available immediately. We are waiting for a phone call as I type. The last few days have been particularly tough for Jane. Extreme reactions to the chemo coupled with ineffective palliative care do not a happy person make.
       Our whole Family will be together for Christmas. It's the first occasion for several years that everyone's been in the UK at the same time. We cling to the hope that Jane will be well enough to enjoy this rare 'gathering of the Clans'.
