I gave my example of feeling exactly like you described, a week before our major earthquake. The feeling I had was different from my usual psychic/intuitive feelings because I could tell that it was bigger than something affecting just me or the people close to me.

As I stood at the pedestrian crossing, I looked at everyone I could see on the street, and at all the places I could see, trying to pinpoint who would be affected or where it would happen. The feeling was so strong that I thought (logically) that maybe a truck was going to come and lose control and smash into people, but I realised it was going to be a bigger event than that.

One way that I know that a psychic/intuitive feeling is more likely to be proven true is if I can't stop thinking about it and it gets stronger and stronger as time goes on, or until the event occurs. That's what happened that day. Then a week later, the earthquake struck and it had major impacts on a very large proportion of the local population and on the local buildings and landscape. The disaster could have been a lot worse in terms of loss of life and injuries, but it was the most serious natural disaster to happen here in living/recorded history.

skarpi, you also said:
"if ever .., so If I see or feel something strange ...I should go to a doctor ...is that the answear ..."

No!! Absolutely not! If you know yourself well enough to tell the difference between a psychic/intuitive feeling and a feeling of anxiety etc, then you are fine just the way you are.

In another few decades maybe psychic abilities will be taken for granted and not questioned every time someone talks about these experiences, but at present, some people understand, some people don't, some people are unsure, some people like to stir up reactions from other people, so it's still a contentious topic.

For a bit of relief from these responses from other people, I often go back to reading Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series of fiction books. The idea for the books is that psychic people and psychic abilities are part of normal, everyday life, and are accepted as normal. It's a relief to plunge myself into that fictional world where psychic people don't have to defend or explain their abilities, they can just do what comes naturally and be accepted for who they really are.

So, just be yourself, skarpi. We love you just the way you are!!!

And thanks, DmcG, that's what I meant, only I didn't know the terminology.
