The Pope not only has his own city, his city is a sovereign nation called "Vatican City." He maintains his own standing army, called "The Swiss Guards", and those halberds they carry are ceremonial -- believe it or not, inside those baggy uniforms they carry modern arms -- including HK submachine guns. The Pope also has at least one helicopter.
