Thread Name: Clydeborn - The Sons of Leo Coyle
Subject: Clydeborn - The Sons of Leo Coyle
I recently watched a documentry on the demise of shipbuilding and other work on the Clyde.

The theme music was a song called - Standing in the Broo Queue by Leo Coyle.
What a great song.

I found this info on Google .........................

"below is a copy of part of the sleeve notes written by leo coyle .
"the content of the songs encompass the experiences of a generation of clydebank people, their tragedies, their fears, their love of family and their beautiful country, and most of all their homour which helped them overcome the destruction of their town during the war,the betrayal of their way of life with the closure of their shipyards and factories and their enduring optimism which rebuilt their town and even today guides them in restructuring their lives and communities".

1 the valley of loch sloy
2 trampin oer the moor
3 bonnie anne
4 the night they knocked the holy city doon
5 standin in the broo queue
6 the rape o scotland
7 the wild rose o linnvale
8 the song of the yard

the songs are sung by eddie and leanne son and daughter of leo coyle.

It said that a CD is available but gave no details of where to purchase one.

Can anyone Help? please

I really would like to hear more
