Most Americans aren't martyrs to noble ideas. A lot die for :

1) The idea that smoking is ok because you can quit any time.

2) The idea that you can eat what you want, when you want, and as much as you want.

3) The idea that drugs are "better living through chemistry".

4) Some drunk's idea that they can control a car.


And there is a least one more...BillD? 999? Lighter? Bobert and Ron Davies would get it, for sure, but they aren't on this thread...
