Actually (part 2) the CDC was in the middle of a research project on gun violence a few years back and the early reports (which were on their way to becoming public but halted by the NRA leaning heavily on Congress people) were going say something like this: You are _____ (between 22 and 43) times more likely to be shot if there is a gun in your house than if there isn't!!! That's pretty astounding but...

...if we are talking about education and if those statistics are accurate then it would seem logical that folks would make the decision to not have the gun in the house, right???

As for this idea that the push is to disarm blacks??? As I have pointed out earlier, it ain't blacks we are seeing on the nightly news as being the folks lined up to buy guns at the local gun shop... This is all NRA race baiting fear marketing... BTW, on out news station last night they showed a gun shop that had sold out of every gun it had... There was not a single gun of any description left on the wall or show cases... Not one!!! Guess the NRA is loving all this attention...
