If the little ** has a peanut allergy (or has just got wise to your ways) then chocolate, works well. Cheese isn't as effective as the cartoons would have you think.

I suspect that Nutella would be very good, fortunately I haven't currently the conditions to check. My main problem would be keeping it just for its allotted purpose.

If you are into "catch and release" the same baits work well, but you need to remove the little blighters by a good mile or two, otherwise you are simply making them a bit more fit.
