Hiya Noreen asked me to post & let you know how it went... Bedworth Fest was last weekend (Nov 25), near Coventry. It was great fun, so I'd recommend it to everyone for next year. Plenty of concerts etc, but the best thing for me was that there were plenty of singarounds of various flavours. Sat night in the pub was great fun (except for the slightly over-slaked blokie who kept talking to us very intensely but completely incomprehensibly - so that we missed out on some of what we were trying to listen to). There were some great singers & players, and also some lovely people to meet. Plenty of marvellous old trad type songs with big harmonizable choruses. We'll definitely be going next year. Didn't get to meet any mudcatters though, mainly because I didn't have the nerve to just ask if anyone was.... Did the Sidmouth lot make it? Overall it was a great atmosphere, no hassles, and bags of enthusiasm and spontaneous performancing all over the place. Loved it. Now I'm busy trying to remember song snippets so I can look them up in the d'base....
