5-1/2 post-brekky ramp laps. I love it that this is a constant incline one way and a steady decline the other way-- different muscles work there and same muscle work differently. I am still focusing not on speed but on correct gait.
LOL... the mind is still catching up to the new planet this body lives on. OK so I knew that each lap of the ramp = 100 feet, but I never thought to multiply that by the number of laps-- till I was out there just now enjoying the sun and grabbing an empty trash can so I can take out the trash later today....
Today for example 5 laps (500 feet) is twice the 250 feet I was able to do in one stretch at the nursing home, so I AM making progress if I take a moment to calculate it. Let's see, there... it was usually twice a day and the goal now is 3 times per day, so 250 x 2 = 500 and 500 x 3 = 1500, wow! That is triple the activity level!
I noticed today that each section's handrails require a re-grab every certain number of steps-- where sections join they rip my gloves-- so I can calculate steps at 2 (8 + 4 + 6 + 10) = 56 x 3 laps = 168 steps just on the ramp + daily laundry steps to figure in.... oh heck, later!
But counting laps will get boring so I will soon switch to time walked. First I have to see how long it takes to do the 5-6 laps....
